This post features products which are very affordable and can be found at supermarkets or drugstores. Almond oil, is a very affordable product. You can add some drops to your daily moisturizer and therefore saves product; Rose water is another affordable product. It can be used to cleanse the skin or if you have tired eyes put some rose water in a cooton pad and pass it around the eyes area; Pumice stone it serves to exfoliate the feet. It helps to avoid fissures; Vaseline it has multiple uses, it can be used to moisturize skin, hands and feet, remove eye makeup and preserve perfume scents; Loofah, its sponge-like texture is absorbent and exfoliates and cleanses skin easy to use with liquids. It consumes less soap than a normal sponge; Talcum powder, as it absorbs moisture well, it’s useful for keeping dry skin and helping to prevent rashes. It can be used thicken eyelashes; Lip scrub, rub the lips before you apply the lib balm and you will see that the lip balm will adhere easily.

In Search of a Miracle Shampoo

My hair is definitely problematic because I have dandruff, greasy roots, dry ends, has coloration and highlights.
I already tried innumerous shampoos to eliminate the dandruff, brands sold in supermarkets, brands from stores specialized in beauty and hair care products and brands sold in pharmacies. And so far any solved the problem permanently. From my experience anti-dandruff shampoos are very aggressive and tend to leave the scalp greasy.
First, I wash my hair by mixing two shampoos: Head & Shoulders and Cami Kool   by Rituals. Then I use Herbal Essences with icy pineapple and cotton extracts which I have been using for a couple of years. I love the smell and it leaves the hair fresh and clean.
Since my roots are greasy I only use no rinse conditioners. For quite sometime now I have been using Curlesque Leave-In Conditioner by Tigi. I really like it because it saves time, hydrates the hair and makes the combing really easy.
I always dry my hair with the hair dryer although it has the inconvenient of drying the hair, it lasts more time clean.
So, if anyone knows an anti-dandruff shampoo that is really efficient and doesn’t have the tendency of leaving the hair oily, with continuous use, please let me know.

Last Minute Survival Kit for Coachella

If you are going to Coachella this weekend and still haven’t thought what to pack for the festival, here are some tips to help you.

1. clothes made of cotton  since the weather in the Californian desert is usually hot although the temperature drops at night. Cotton allows movement of air from the skin through the fabric.
2.  good quality sunglasses are mandatory since you will be most of the time exposed to sunlight they will protect you from UV radiation.
3. sunscreen is recommended, preference in spray because it is easy and quick  to apply.
4. band-aids are also essential since you will be almost all day standing and walking, it’s likely to get foot blisters. They provide great protection over blisters and bandages with gel pads are the best because they relieve the pain and protect the blisters.
5.  water bottle  is practical and cheaper since you can refill the bottle at the water refill stations for free.
6. thermal spring water  is particular beneficial especially when the weather is very hot it gives skin the sensation of freshness.
7. dry shampoo is very helpful because due to the heat you will sweat. And if your hair gets messy, with only a few sprinkles of powder and some brushes it will give the hair the appearance of being clean.
8.  bikini/swim trunks are a must if you are going to attend pool side parties.
And last but not least lots of enthusiasm and have fun.

Lip Balm Delicious by Bodyshop

Lip balm is a product that I always carry in my bag. For a long time I have been using lip balms by Bodyshop. At the moment I am using a lip balm with a raspberry flavor. It smells incredibly, it’s very yummy and leaves the lips with a shine finish.  There are other flavors like watermelon, strawberry and passionberry.
Another favorite of mine is the sweet lemon lip butter because it has a buttery texture that melts instantly leaving the lips soft and smooth.  It contains real lemon seed oil and it is very pleasant to the taste. Other flavors include coconut, pink grapefruit and guarana.
Bodyshop has launched the dragon fruit  lip butter which is great since it is a super-moisturising balm and all the profits go to charity.

Three Hair Removal Methods: waxing; shaving and pulsed light

It’s incredible but I use three hair removal methods. For a long time I have been doing waxing in the legs and in the bikini line. It’s is definitely a good method since it weakens the hair and it lasts longer than the shaving.  Last year I was made aware of a roll-on waxing sold in stores of hair care and beauty products and so I decided I could save money. I bought the roll-on applicator, the epilating stripes and the two axe refills were a gift because it was part of the promotion. It is really great since it delivers salon-quality results at home.
In the armpits I shave with the Gillette Venus razor and I use the Satin Care gel by the same brand. It only lasts a week but I really love the razor and the blades. And the best thing is that never cuts.  After the shaving I always use Johnson’s Baby Oil and it works wonders for keeping the skin moisturized.
This year I decide to take advantage of winter promotions and I started doing pulsed light in the bikini line. My hair in that area is very strong and the waxing only lasts for two weeks. So far I did three sessions and the results are amazing. After the second session I didn’t have hair in the bikini line for a month.
